ESL Program Introduction

Living in the home of an American host is ideal for students young and old who require a safe and suitable home environment in which to develop their English skills. Our American host family will help you and your children by being your friend and guide during your stay in the Philippines. Practice your conversation skills with them throughout the day in a positive, nurturing environment that no other homestay program in the Philippines can duplicate.

Another major advantage to studying at Manila English is our small class size of only 4 students to an American teacher. Studying 4-on-1 allows the teacher to have a better sense of who their students are along with their specific strengths and weaknesses. This enables the teacher to help their students with their specific problems, which allows any issue to be resolved quickly and correctly. Once any issue inhibiting a student’s progress has been addressed, they can go on to achieve at their highest level. Students also have more opportunities to speak up and participate in discussions when they study 4-on-1. In addition, students who have worked closely with their teacher are less likely to feel intimidated about seeking help directly.
