Redhill Pre-Preparatory School
The Essence of Education at Redhill
Redhill’s mission is to be a world-class South African learning community, building leaders for their time.
The success of a school and its pupils depends on a partnership between school, pupils and parents. The pupils must have the will to succeed and trust their teachers. Parents must be supportive of their children and trust the school to be the judge of what needs to be done. The school will assist pupils to have a sound education philosophy.
Redhill School strives towards a balance of academic excellence, cultural pursuits, sports participation and hobby activities. Each pupil and member of staff is encouraged to fully realise his/her potential.
Our aim is holistic – to develop the whole pupil emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically. We provide an enriching experience and a stimulating environment, which will provide each child with the opportunity to develop as fully as his/her abilities, talents, determination and ambition will allow. Redhill’s creative approach to education is designed to stimulate curiosity, mental dexterity and awareness and to encourage initiative, self-reliance and self-discipline. Pupils also thrive in the free-spirited nature of the school and the emotional and moral care given by all.
Pupils are encouraged to question at any time.Redhill also believes that pupils must be taught to make choices, but they must also take cognisance of the consequences of their choice. This also incorporates the idea of accountability.
Redhill celebrates diversity and independent thinking. Redhill is multi-faith and respects all religions. We aim to teach pupils universally accepted values. Families have the right to remove their children for the major religious holidays and no child will be penalised.
We believe in traditional values.
Redhill aims to encourage each pupil to be committed to be involved with school life in all its spheres.
Redhill believes that privilege entails responsibility and pupils are encouraged, and provided with opportunities to learn a community-minded approach to life. Our objective is to produce a self-controlled young person who reacts unselfishly and gains as much reward from giving as from receiving.
It is all of these factors that make for success, including the fact that Redhill truly is a school built around our pupils. For more information visit us on :www.redhill.co.za
