Indianhead International School

The Indianhead School is a private, non-profit, nonsectarian school originally established in Tongduchon City, Korea, in 1979, with a second campus developed in Uijongbu City.

The Indianhead International School’s mission is to provide a comprehensive and enriched program of education for expatriate children and for those Korean nationals deemed eligible by the Korean Ministry of Education. Indianhead School is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges, (WASC), based in California.

An on-going building plan has seen the development of three special purpose buildings at Indianhead International School. The first of these contains the main office area. The second building consists of seven elementary classrooms, specialized rooms for music and computer, four specialist ESL classrooms, faculty lounge, a 120-seat theatre and ten teacher apartments. The third building contains a fitness center, a 250-seat cafeteria, specialist rooms and music and art, three computer labs, library, fourteen classrooms, faculty lounge and twelve teacher apartments. The school master plan provides for additional facility construction to meet projected enrollment growth.

The additional space and facilities allow access to the school for day students from the greater Seoul metropolitan area. The school has made a firm commitment to pursue a plan of providing a high quality educational program at a financially responsible and flexible level and to offer these services to a wider range of students.

Small class sizes and low pupil teacher ratio at Indianhead International School allow for individualized guidance and careful monitoring of the needs and potential of each student through various evaluation strategies. English as a Second Language instruction is provided by experienced specialists to those students needing additional support.

The Indianhead International School’s philosophy at Indianhead School is that students must to be equipped with the necessary skills to become lifelong learners.
