Internationalism and individualised attention are cornerstones of our educational philosophy. In small class sizes we ensure our students graduate from our school as well-educated, confident individuals ready for success at prestigious institutions of higher education. The campus of Institut Montana is located on the Zugerberg mountain, only 15 minutes by public transport from the city of Zug and less than one hour from Zurich with its international airport. We take full advantage of our unique location, which offers both privacy and calm in a natural setting, while being centrally located near international cities. The International School of Institut Montana Zugerberg offers a college-preparatory curriculum in English including the International Baccalaureate Diploma (since 1987) and a High School Diploma (since 1952) equivalent to the American High School Diploma. The Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is provided to our students in grades 9 and 10. Comprehensive courses in English as an Additional Language are available for non-native English speaking students. Of the graduating class of 2015, the IB diploma was earned by 90% of our candidates. The average score for Institut Montana students receiving the diploma was about 32 points during 2011-2015. Montana Summer Sessions are open to Swiss and international children aged 10-16 in July and August for 2 or 4 weeks. Inspired by 90 years' experience, we offer a unique combination of language learning and a diverse social and cultural programme for day and boarding students. The Summer Sessions are designed for children wishing to learn English, German or French, reconnect with nature and experience an unforgettable summer. |
