Prem Tinsulanonda International SchoolThe Prem Tinsulanonda International School is a co-educational day and boarding school, located on a 90-acre campus in the countryside, 40 minutes from Chiang Mai and its international airport.Prem Tinsulanonda International School is an IB World School, culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma in grades 11 and 12, with the IGCSE is presently studied in Grades 9 and 10. The IB PYP and MYP programmes are being implemented. Air-conditioned
classrooms, auditorium, amphitheater, large gymnasium with indoor
courts, Olympic size swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts,
athletics track and football fields all enrich classroom lessons, as
well as the daily after-school activities program. The multi-media
library provides a seven-day resource center for all students.
Computer laboratory, PCs, quality book and periodical collections,
and electronic library, all contribute to the library’s central role
as the research heart of the school. It can be accessed from on-line
classrooms and from boarding apartments. Teachers are
currently recruited internationally from the UK, Canada, United
States, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Japan, Holland, and
Germany. They are selected not only for their talents as classroom
teachers, but also for their capacity to contribute to the school’s
extra curricular programme and to the quality of life of the
boarding community. Boarders do not live
in traditional dormitory style accommodation. A personal, family
atmosphere, which respects privacy, is made possible through sharing
two-bedroomed en-suite apartments, with lounge, kitchenette and
balcony. Boarders have their own lounge, as well as regular access
to school facilities. The campus is safe
and secure, with a 24-hour Medical Center, and fully trained
security personnel on duty at all times. As all teachers live on
campus, a high level of care, support and quality supervision is
provided at all times. The Prem Tinsulanonda
International School is situated on the Prem Center campus, which is
highly suited to an all-round educational experience and a full and
challenging lifestyle for students and teachers alike. The Prem
Center includes the Prem Tinsulanonda International School and
Visiting Schools Program, and conducts workshops in professional
development and in environmental, languages and information
technology education. The President of the Center is Lister Hannah. Admission to the Prem
