St Andrews International School RayongThe St Andrew's International School Bangkok opened in September 1998 and is the third St Andrew's school in Thailand. It has a planned capacity for 360 students (up to year 7) when the next phase of development is completed. The curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum adapted to meet the needs of the international and local communities. Core curriculum subjects are covered in each year group. Students are assessed prior to acceptance. All teaching staff have recognized teaching qualifications and most have overseas experience. Transportation is available for those students who require the service.Located in the main residential area of Bangkok, St. Andrew's is
one of the few schools offering British education to children from
2 to 12 years of age in the area. The school is fortunate in having
extensive outdoor playing areas and two swimming pools (one for
learners and the younger children). The campus is also home to the St. Andrew's Special Educational
Needs Centre which is the first and only such centre in Thailand.
This Centre aims to provide a clear framework within which the educational
and social development of children with special needs can be addressed.
The Learning Support Programme is based on a modified form of the
UK Code of Practice which aims to assess, register, monitor and
make provision for students with a range of special needs. School Summary: Address: |
