School Introduction

Murray International Language Centre can be found in the Lews Castle College campus in the town of Stornoway.

Stornoway is the main town in the Outer Hebrides on the west coast of Scotland. The small community offers students an opportunity of learning ENglish in a safe environment and meet and make freidns with the hospitable and welcoming local community.

The breathtaking landscape and a enviroinment offers the student the chance to explore and experioence village life, partake in activities unique to the Hebrides.

Dedicated teachers will be on hand to guide you through the course and your stay in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

ESL Program Introduction

The English programs offered are Intensive English courses, Summer Camps and part-time courses.

The intensive English course is split into three categories. General English, Academic English and Business English. The classes have 25 hours per week teaching times and five hours a week of tutorial time if required by the student.

Levels start from beginner to advanced and each level takes two months. All skills are covered and students are encouraged to use their skills in the small community.

The summer camps offered are football camps, golf camps and Hebridean Celtic Camp. The football and golf camp offer coaching tips on playing the particular sport after Engllish classes in the morning. Tournaments and competitions will be staged throughout the ccourse.

The Hebridean Celtic Camp gives the opportunity to students to participate in outdoor activities such as hillwalking, kayaking, mountain biking, archery, island tours and community based activities so that they have a wonderful opportunity to explore a Hebridean island.
