School Introduction

Albany Language School is located in the very heart of Cardiff, not far from the famous MiIlennium stadium, the Castle, The Civic centre, the shopping centres, bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants.

Cardiff is a very green city with many beautiful parks and lakes. There are three rivers and the Cardiff Bay area. The city has a water taxi service, as well as excellent buses and trains.

At Albany Language School we use only professional teachers who have been University trained. They use the communicative method which ensures that students have plenty of opportunities to express themselves in order to improve their spoken English.

At the school we have access to table tennis, tennis, darts, football, bar, cafe and at locations close by.

We offer a lively social and educational programme which gives everyone the opportunity to meet new friends and to practise their English in the locality......Beautiful parks, tropical hot house, lake and boating, Olympic swimming pool, ice rink, new St Davids' 2 shopping centre, all close by, together with local host families.

Work placements take place in the nearby locality.

We offer a Spring and Summer, General English Programme from May to October in which the students will concentrate on developing their oral skills. 15 - 25 hours.

We offer an optional Social programme whih can include visits to the famous Millennium stdium, the Millenium Centre in Cardiff Bay, The Gower Penninsula, Tenby, Penarth and Barry and many other famous sites including a coal mine trip and wonderful castles....some off the tourist trail.

We offer an English plus Work Experience placement programme which helps the student develop his or her work skills, English for the working environment - which can also can help their future career opportunities

Small group tuition 1 - 8 students and one to one classes in General English are held all year round

Spring and Summer - General Englsih Programme - Starting dates 1st and 15th of March, 1st and 15th of April, 1st and 15th of May, 1st and 15th of June etc.

20 hour programme - 160 pounds

English Language course with Work Experience Placement - Starting dates 1st of March, 1st of April, 1st of May, 1st of June and through until December 2009.

10 hours English - 80 pounds per week plus a one off Admin fee for the placement of 250 pounds

One to one English classes - 22 pounds per hour.

Small group English - classes of four or less - 10 pounds per hour. Classes from 8 and upwards - 8 pounds per hour.
