Learning Support Programme
Cambridge International School provides a stimulating, caring environment, based on mutual respect and care for others. Class sizes are small, with no more than 16 pupils in a form.

The school accepts children from the ages of three to sixteen and is academically non-selective and with a wide range of ability levels. Children are welcomed from all around the world, regardless of their level of English. A particular feature of the school is the commitment to providing an unpressurised learning environment based around a child’s readiness to learn.

There are currently have three school campuses, one for Infant and Junior pupils, one for Key Stage 3 pupils and a centre for year 10 and 11 students shared with a sister school.

There is a broad and enriching curriculum, striving to achieve the highest educational standards in a happy, caring and supportive environment. Students are entered for Cambridge Checkpoint examinations and IGCSEs. The school’s academic results are pleasing with a 98% A-C pass rate at IGCSE last year.

The intention is to provide a school where all children, regardless of family background, country of origin, intellectual levels and social class are enabled to flourish in a stimulating international environment. A balance is encouraged between the very best of different academic approaches blended with the school’s unique understanding and experience of what can work for children with a range of experiences, abilities and cultures. There is a firm commitment to strong partnership between home and school, providing opportunities for parental involvement in support of the school and their own child's education

The school’s international approach exists in many dimensions from staffing and pupil range, through the curriculum and in the day-to-day life of the classrooms. Sixty percent of pupils from outside the UK making the school an international community. It is a main intention of the school to nurture respect, intercultural understanding and a desire to learn more about the countries and traditions of our peers.
