International Community School LondonEstablished in 1979, ICS is a small friendly, central London international school for students aged 3 to 18 years. Children and faculty from 45 countries (including the UK) form a dynamic learning community.At our Primary School, located on the edge of Regent's Park, children aged 3-11 years old follow the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Class sizes are small with a maximum of 18 children and there is a strong emphasis on the development of languages. The Secondary School is located close to Hyde Park and students follow the IB Middle Years (11-16 yrs) and IB Diploma (16+yrs) Programmes. Throughout the School there is a specialist English Preparation programme, which provides intensive English for students aged 3 - 18 yrs, with older students working towards the Cambridge IELTS qualification. A thriving English language school operates throughout the summer months. There is an established programme of educational, cultural and environmental visits tied in with the curriculum to destinations in London, parts of the UK and overseas. In recent years students have travelled to the Galapagos Islands, Brazil and southern Africa. ICS has a strong philosophy of inclusion and our Student Support department works with students with Special Educational Needs to support them in all aspects of School life. We also offer a Primary and Secondary Life Skills programme for those students, who are not able to acces the full IB curriculum. A door-to-door bus service brings most students to school and on both sites our canteens provide healthy meals. The School owns a field studies and outdoor education centre on the Suffolk Coast and students spend a week each year engaged in an outdoor education programme centred on environmental literacy.
