| Recent tweets from @icslondon The International Community School is the independent, International Baccalaureate World School, located in central London. This year marks our 35th anniversary. The School is accredited by the IB, the British Council, NAS and is also a member of the European Council of International Schools and the Council of International Schools. ICS offers the IB Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma programmes. Our class sizes are small, and there is a strong focus on personalised learning highly tailored to each student’s needs and interests. This allows all students, regardless of their academic background, to thrive and excel in our rigorous but supportive environment. Our school community of approximately 260 students represents 45 different nationalities, giving each member of the school a truly international perspective and a broad global horizon, as well as an unmatched inter-cultural understanding and solid academic base preparing them for university and life beyond. Our 2015 Diploma results came through with a 100% pass rate; our students scored an average 35 points, which puts ICS in the league of the best international schools in London and the Top 20 in the UK. The global average is 29 points. Our Class of 2015 are going to world class universities such as Kings College London, Warwick University, McGill University Montreal, Boston University to name but a few. We use Information Communication Technology in a variety of innovative ways to engage and encourage our students to become lifelong learners. In addition we ensure curriculum enrichment through the 'Outdoor Classroom'. This entails frequent educational visits within London, spending time at our Outdoor Education Centres in Suffolk and Chorleywood, and our unique 'Global Classroom' - international excursions which allows students to become involved in international projects overseas. There are lunchtime and after school clubs and activities for students ranging from football and basketball to rock climbing, capoeira and cooking clubs. The School also provides a door-to-door minibus service that serves most of central London. For more information please contact the Admissions Office – admissions@ics.uk.net |
