Trinity College University of Wales United KingdomTrinity College is a part of the University of Wales and was established in 1848 as a Church College to train teachers.Today, the College enjoys an excellent reputation for high quality degree courses in education, business, IT, the creative, cultural and performing arts, as well as for courses related to the outdoors and community development. All facilities are based on one campus - accommodation, information and library services, international office, student services, Students' Union, sports and teaching facilities. Students benefit from small class sizes, plenty of support in a safe, welcoming and healthy environment. Sweeping lawns and landscaped areas form a picturesque setting for the mix of Victorian and modern buildings. The College is located on the outskirts of Carmarthen, the commercial centre for a large and thriving area. It is a busy market town with a good mix of shops, businesses and leisure facilities.
Accommodation & CateringAll international students can have rooms on campus during their first year. The accommodation is provided in flats with single bedrooms which have their own bathroom facilities. The kitchen and lounge areas are shared with 8 other students. There are cooking facilities for you to make your own meals or if you wish, you may buy your food at the College's restaurant, cafe and fast-food bar. International LoungeA room for international students which includes a lounge area with satellite TV, kitchen and dining facilities. There's also a library of travel books and tourist information to help those who wish to see more of the United Kingdom and Europe . Leisure TimeTrinity is a small and friendly College. The focus for many students outside lectures is the Students' Union, which provides great facilities where students can relax and enjoy their time here. There are weekly discos, theme-nights, film screenings, live entertainment and quizzes, as well as many clubs and societies to join, including the International Society. The Union is also responsible for Trinity's many sports teams and for supporting students for individual sports. Campus facilities include:
Students also benefit from Trinity's excellent location for outdoor activities through the Outdoor Club. There are great places to windsurf, canoe, sail, hang-glide, rock-climb and hike on the doorstep. The Arts at TrinityThe vibrant arts scene at the College means that there's plenty for you to enjoy, including art exhibitions, theatrical productions, creative writing events and musical concerts, either at the College or in regional arts centers. Trinity is a regular venue for touring theatre companies and individual performers, orchestras, choirs and bands. There are also student performances throughout the year at the College's Halliwell and Parry Theaters. Often these productions include Study Abroad Students undertaking modules in Theatre Studies as part of their program.
