School Introduction Towson University is the second largest university in Maryland and a member of the University System of Maryland. We enroll more than 16, 000 students, including international students from nearly 100 countries. Towson's 328-acre campus is located in the suburban community of Towson, Maryland, eight miles north of downtown Baltimore. Established in 1866, Towson is nationally recognized for its excellent programs in the arts, sciences, business, communications, humanities, health professions, education and computer information systems.
ESL Program Introduction
The ELC offers a comprehensive English language program that will strengthen your language skills, develop your cross cultural awareness, and enrich your personal growth and development. The ELC program is for students who want to pursue university study in the United States as well as for students who want to improve their English for employment purposes. The ELC offers three programs of instruction each year; the fall and spring semesters are 15 weeks long and there is a 10 week summer session.
