School Introduction
Our school is located in the heart of Miami at the Four Ambassador complex, just one block away from Brickell Avenue, the “Wall Street” of Miami. Our School facilities boast two large reception areas, a snack bar, ten spacious classrooms and a brand new computer lab offering 15 stations with free High Speed Internet connection. Our location also offers many amenities that can be enjoyed by our students such as; Swimming Pools, Outdoor Spa , Jacuzzis , Fitness area and Restaurants. You will enjoy an ocean view from the comfort of your classroom.
In addition to our program of studies, Open Hearts International College offers an array of activities to help students practice their English and interact with staff members. The city of Miami being a great tour destination allows for an innumerable series of activities that can vary from visits to museums to a tour of the sub-tropical jungles of the Everglades. Activities are scheduled on a weekly basis and students have the opportunity to en-list and participate accordingly. Open Hearts International College strongly emphasizes the beauty and ethnicity of the city of Miami and encourages students to be part of the melting- pot culture that has come to define Miami, today considered, the gateway to America.
Open Hearts International College is also proud to offer many other services such as student orientation and counseling, airport transfer, in house medical insurance plan and several accommodation options for students. ESL Program Introduction
The curriculum at Open Hearts International College is meant to be open-ended and ongoing. To better respond to the individual needs and abilities of our students we offer 7 different levels, ranging from Basic I to our Elite Level. Even though our classes can accommodate up to 15 students we normally have an average of 10 to 12 students per class. This small class setting allows for our students to receive the individual attention required for them to succeed in their course of study.
OHIC is proud to employ the finest teachers who have years of teaching experience and/or experience working with international students. Our teachers come from a diverse teaching background. All of our full- and part-time teachers have completed a Bachelor’s Degree and courses in TESOL/ ESL and many of them have taken graduate level courses. OHIC teachers are mature professionals with extensive experience in the classroom, in language instruction, and living in other countries.

As part of its student services, OHIC offers host family accommodation. Students and families play a great part in global exchange, promoting understanding and respect for other cultures and views. Due to the make up of the city, many families may come from a Hispanic heritage. As such, students may encounter families that speak English and Spanish. All of our host families have a sympathetic approach to the needs of international language learners. As an alternative to our Homestay program, students can choose to reside right here on campus as guests of the Four Ambassadors Hotel. Meal plans are offered as an option to these students
