Located in the suburbs of Washington D.C., Columbia College, a nationally accredited institution, provides one of the area's best ESL programs.

ESL Program Introduction

This program is to provide comprehensive English skills including grammar, writing, reading, listening, and speaking for students to acquire fluency in English so that they can obtain better jobs and opportunities in the United States without communication problems.

Also, Columbia College provides TESOL program. This program has been approved by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). The TESOL Certificate Program, developed by Dr. Maria Vassilieva, Ph.D. in Linguistics, is 10 weeks long. It is designed for those who want to pursue teaching careers in the ESL/EFL field.
