School Introduction

LIT is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students. And licensed by the State of Texas as a Proprietary School.

LIT’s focus is on computer-assisted learning. The school has a large state-of-the-art computer lab with the students’ computers in a network controlled by the teacher. The teacher can: See and hear what each student is doing. Control any student’s computer. Display what’s on the teacher’s computer on the students’ computers.

All computers in the computer lab also have Internet access. There is a student lounge area where students can practice English on each other, study, eat and relax. The rest of the school consists of small classrooms for teachers to lead small groups of students in practicing conversations, pronunciation, and other essential English language skills.

ESL Program Introduction

Special emphases on phonics for correct pronunciation, listening comprehension, and real-life conversation practices have proven to expedite progress for many foreign students. Our cutting-edge language lab has made " LIT Method" of learning famous throughout the international communities.

Students have the option of going on supervised field trips to local attractions for a separate fee. Field trips give students the chance to practice their English in real-life situations while having fun and building friendships.

Activities include:
Friday nights at the movies,
Meals at local restaurants,
Tours of area museums and NASA’s Space Center,
Trips to local beaches, Lake Conroe and Six Flags AstroWorld amusement park.
